Post-Halloween Treat

Are you pondering how to save your kids from eating too much of all that Halloween candy? Here’s an idea. Treat yourself to a little with just the right wine. Gary Vaynerchuk, author of Crush It, recommends the following pairing but of course states that it is all about personal taste:
For chocolate (Reese’s cups, candy bars)….try a Cabernet or a Zinfindel
For sugar candies (Starburst, Skittles, etc.)…try a Reisling (sugar X 2)
For mixtures–sugar and chocolate (i.e. M&Ms)…try a Grenache.

This is great! I went to a cooking class on Friday night…all about wine pairings, and I am sure that the owner of Mirassou wineries would approve of these pairings!
